Betta ran down the hall and saw her friends at last. She puffed with relief, but then felt a rush of fear fill her. Her friends were being bullied by the school bully, Mat Highlanders.
“Let them go!” She said with all the courage she could muster, afraid and angry at the same time.
“I said, let them go!” She said, a little louder. Mat turned around, and his huge shadow loomed over Betta…
